The 2012 Washington Forest Health Highlights Report summarizes major forest health events in Washington and includes results of DNR’s annual insect and disease aerial survey.

Sources for Forestry Stewardship Supplies and Materials: This directory of sources for seed stock, wildlife damage prevention, and forestry tools, such as increment borers, logger tapes, clinometers, etc., is updated for 2013.

Washington Hardwoods Commission: The Institute of Forest Resources at the University of Washington is busily working on the Washington Hardwood Inventory Assessment. The final report will be highlighted at the April 30-May 2 Western Hardwood International Convention and Exposition in Portland. The study team is using the Washington State Biomass Assessment database to help assess the hardwood growing stock in Washington State, including the ownerships that  manage the growing stock, and how much volume is under riparian management regulations.
